Fall Book Fair
November 12 – November 18
We are excited to announce our upcoming Fall Book Fair! This event is an opportunity for students to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. SRS Home & School earns money for each purchase made at the fair. Home & School uses these funds to support numerous programs and events held throughout the year that benefit the entire school community. Your family’s support is appreciated!
On Friday, November 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. we will be hosting an Outdoor Parent Kick-Off Event under the lunch tent in the courtyard behind the school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our Fall Book Fair will be a familiar and safe event. The children will shop the fair during their regularly scheduled library time with assistance from our library media specialist, Courtney Aaron. The students will then be escorted to an outdoor tented area to checkout with our parent volunteers. We will also be offering extended hours before and after school for students to shop on Wednesday, November 17.
Payment may be made by cash, check (payable to SRS Home & School), credit card, or Scholastic eWallet. Scholastic eWallet is a digital payment option that allows your child(ren) to shop cash-free. To learn more about eWallet and set up an account, visit our fair site at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/swarthmorerutledge. Please note that any balances left on the eWallet WILL NOT be credited back to the customers’ credit card account. Students can spend the funds on the eWallet or donate the balance to All for Books. All balances can also be spent on future fairs, Scholastic Book Clubs or anytime at the Scholastic Online Store. Please note that prices are not inclusive of sales tax and all items are taxable at 6%. Please be sure to provide your child(ren) with enough funds to cover the sales tax.
